Heavyweight elite Mike Tyson has terrified several of his opponents in his prime, earning the title of ‘The Baddest Man’ on the Planet. However, he couldn’t intimidate a few, and former unified champion Lennox Lewis was one of them.
Although Tyson boasted about his prowess in the build-up and did every possible thing to get under Lewis’ nerves, the Brit was unfazed by those acts. Moreover, ‘The Lion’ Lennox conquered Mike Tyson inside the ring via KO, ending the rivalry in his favor. That said, the 55-year-old connected with Revolt TV and revealed why Tyson couldn’t scare him.

“Yeah, he (Mike Tyson) is bad, he is a bad guy in the sense of like, he can intimidate people. He has intimidated a lot of people. But he don’t know who is intimidating. He is intimidating, a bad, a badder guy. I am bad man in that sense. I don’t take that,” said Lennox Lewis.
Lewis is one of the six boxers who bagged a win against Mike Tyson in professional boxing. Meanwhile, he is also one of the five to have knocked him out. So, it’s safe to say that Lewis was clearly the superior man over ‘Iron’ Mike. Here’s how their in-ring rivalry turned out to be like.
Mike Tyson vs Lennox Lewis- A look back at the feud
In 2002, Mike Tyson challenged Lennox Lewis for the WBC, IBF, and IBO heavyweight titles. The matchup had allured the entire sports world, putting two legendary boxers against each other. However, none of the boxers shared mutual respect.
Tyson and Lewis turned it ugly in their pre-fight press conferences, with the former making polarizing statements. They also got physical with each other.

Meanwhile, Tyson couldn’t offer much action inside the ring. The 12-rounds main-event fell short of four rounds as Lewis knocked out Tyson in round eight. After putting pressure on ‘Iron’ Mike for a brief period, ‘Lion’ Lewis was already ahead on the scorecards, but he ended things on his own terms.
Although they have passed that phase and are Hall of Famers at this stage, Lewis still recalls and relishes the outcome of the fight.
