Jake Paul has seen an ample amount of failures in his journey to being one of the biggest entertainers. The most recent one came at the hands of the British boxer Tommy Fury, who defeated him in a boxing fight. Amidst the exhilarating atmosphere in Saudi Arabia, Tommy Fury secured a split-decision victory in the cruiserweight bout.

He even overcame a knockdown in the eighth and final round. This was recorded as the first and only loss of Jake Paul in his boxing career. This made the headlines, but despite the setback, Paul didn’t give up on boxing. Now many may wonder, what kept on motivating ‘The Problem Child’ to push beyond. Well, Paul has answered this mystery himself.

Jake Paul emphasizes the importance of not quitting

In the latest episode of ‘The George Janko Show’, Jake Paul talked about how he has never stopped toiling hard, no matter what kind of failure came his way. So, the host asked him a question about his attitude in training which never lets him get lazy and be afraid of another loss. So, Paul gave a little glimpse into his mindset while answering the question.

Paul said, “The word quit because there was moments where I didn’t believe in myself. There was moments where I didn’t have fuel, you know, like that motivation runs out, you know. The things someone said about you that like makes you work harder for a month. Oh well no one’s saying anything.” So, according to Jake Paul, it’s not a great drive to keep on working on behalf of somebody else’s statements. One needs to understand the purpose behind their struggle.

Furthermore, he added, “Now like even losing to Tommy, I was so so fired up and invigorated and in the gym working so so hard. That only lasted for like a couple of months and so then it’s like a commitment to the goal and I think the commitment one makes to self is above all else.” Jake Paul has found a way to keep himself on the go most of the time. In addition to that, he has even become somewhat of a philosopher and has changed a famous saying as per his experience.

Paul is a philosopher now?

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” Often attributed to Norman Vincent Peale, a prominent American Protestant preacher of the 1950s and advocate of positive thinking through his self-help books. This motivational phrase echoes the era’s space race between the United States and the Soviet Union during the Cold War, symbolizing a competition for technological supremacy.

Well, Peale’s phrase had been twisted by the famous Youtuber-turned-boxer due to his own experience seen through hard work. Paul stated that even if one’s not the best, they must at least try to be the best. He said, “Die trying exactly you might not be- But it’s like shoot for the moon even if you miss your land amongst the stars, which I said to my friends the other day. But we started joking about it because the saying is shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you land amongst the stars.
