The talk of the town, Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. John Gotti III just got concluded with an abrupt brawl inside the boxing ring between both fighters’ teams. Well, all hell broke loose when the fighters were penalized by the referee for not being servile to the instructions given to them, so in the sixth round, the fight was stopped. But both Mayweather and Gotti III didn’t seem to have enough and attacked each other even after the bout was over. It brought the teams on both ends and within seconds, the ring was jam-packed with a lot of people. Many even called it to be worse than the incident between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor Mc Gregor.

But as it seems, that was not the only confrontation that took place on Sunday night. The former three-division title holder, Jorge Linares, walked up to the current WBA Super Lightweight champion, Rolly Romero. While Linares was talking to him in vexation, Romero was flipping him off and even stated while looking at the camera, “I want everyone to know this motherf***er is clout chasing right now.”
Many fans were hopeful for a potential bout as they saw Linares calling out Romero so blatantly. But simultaneously, many thought the actions of Linares to be pathetic and desperate for good PPV numbers before his retirement. Apparently, he even called out Ryan Garcia on social media prior to this. Meanwhile, some fans voiced out in support of Linares and had an explanation for his behavior.

This guy is looking for 1 last big payday. Can't begrudge him but after 3 losses back-to-back, it is over.

While, one user, Christopher, pointed out that Rolly Romero was so much indulged in his own gimmick that he didn’t even listen to Linares’s threats properly.
Lmao rolly didn’t listen to a word he said 🤣

But not all fans were against the Venezuelan professional boxer. As one fan, Aleman, stated that Linares isn’t looking ahead for the payday instead he wants to avenge his fellow compatriot, Ismael Barroso.
Maybe, Linares ain’t chasing a payday. I’m sure he’s made some money during he’s career and just wants to avenge the unfair loss given to his country men Barroso who was beating Rolly to only have T.Weeks gift wrap the win to Rolly. He’s no champ just a pawn in someone’s plans.

Another fan, Ian, stated that even at such a phase of Linares’s career, they still side with him.
Even at this stage of his career, I like Linares here.
