Will he or will he not? For Logan Paul, the challenge continues to linger. Everyone’s been asking whether he will fight Yassine Cheuko. The latest development witnessed Lionel Messi‘s bodyguard calling out Jake Paul‘s elder brother for making lame excuses. Logan Paul and Team Messi are reportedly involved in a legal entanglement that stemmed from a dispute over the designs of their respective sports drink brands.

The story took an unexpected turn. To resolve their conflict, the elder of the Paul brothers seemingly challenged the soccer great to a ring face-off. But expressing his willingness, Yassine Cheuko volunteered. Subsequent reports suggested, to focus on his wrestling career, the WWE superstar turned down a $15 million offer to fight the Messi bodyguard. Unlike his younger brother, the elder Paul’s boxing venture hadn’t been so fruitful. His last fight against Dillon Danis ended controversially. He tried suggesting a street fight in Puerto Rico, only to receive a cheeky response from Cheuko.

Give the fight a chance Logan: Yassine Cheuko

Addressing Logan Paul with the most glorious of nicknames that he specifically chose, Yassine Cheuko tweeted, “Lolo, the king of excuses…” To make his taunt explicit, he underlined the message with hashtags ‘signthecontractlolo,’ stopexecuses,’ and ‘nowayout.’

The post featured a minute-long video that began with a clip from ‘Adin Live’s latest episode. Sitting beside Adin Ross and friend Mike Majlak, Logan Paul said, “You’re Messi’s bodyguard; that’s f**king sick bro. Make that money, but apparently you’re not making enough cuz he wants to payday on that big fight that I don’t give a f**k to do cuz I’m a WWE superstar who found his calling in life, and I’m going for it. If you want to pull up on me in your free time, we’re fighting in Puerto Rico, bare fist, no mouthguard. Pull up and fight me; otherwise, shut the f**k up, you fraud.

So calling out ‘Lolo,’ or Logan Paul, Cheuko said, “Listen, Lolo, you’re so cute with your blonde hair. Why you getting nervous? Stop the drama, Lolo. So now you find another excuse. Last time you said you’re WWE superstar, and now you told me to come to Puerto Rico to fight in the streets, without gloves, without a mouth guard. Loloo… Stop the drama, Lolo; you already know we cannot do that.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Logan Paul dodging a real fight, or is he smart to focus on WWE success?

Logan Paul: The path to glory is different

While highlighting Logan Paul’s tough-guy persona as fake, Cheuko stated that he himself is no pushover. Rather than street fighting or mere bravado, it’s a professional challenge. He said, “So now, sign the contract, Lolo; stop excuses.”  Mocking how ridiculous the excuses sound, Yassine Cheuko taunted Logan Paul, possibly to bait him into accepting the fight. Then, throwing in a cocky, playful jab, he said that he could finish the fight quickly but is offering to hold back to make it more ‘fair.’

Speaking on WWE’s YT channel, Logan Paul had earlier made it clear that he’s fully focused on his wrestling career in WWE. He’s turning down side gigs (this fight?) that might distract him. While he acknowledged that the offer was tempting and lucrative, he decided to go against it. “I’m devoting my life to this. So I turned that down, and I’m going to be the best that I can,he asserted.
