“This man is hard to hit. I am long and I got him with a couple good jabs… Every time I hit him, my confidence just went up, ‘Oh, he’s just a man’,” Paul said.

Further detailing the fight, he also shared that he apparently ruptured Mayweather’s eardrum. “My chest pumps out a little and I feel ‘I can do it He is a human’, granted tough ass fucking guy. I busted his ear like I busted his ear. I heard from behind the scenes. Guess what, in the fight I didn’t know. And he kept coming at me,” he told his younger brother.

Was Logan Paul actually able to cause problems to Floyd Mayweather?

Mayweather’s boxing skill and acumen were clearly intact even as the veteran is out of active professional competition. In Logan Paul, he took on a much younger and bigger opponent. Someone clearly outmatched Paul in terms of boxing skills. Mayweather was able to secure 8-9 rounds on many unofficial scorecards.

However, ‘The Maverick’ had his moments in the fight. Paul’s few barrages of punches in the earlier rounds seemed to find their home.

He lauded his opponent’s boxing skills during the podcast. “His relentlessness to just keep coming forward is admirable,” Paul said.

Even though physicality was in favor of Paul, which he himself acknowledged during the fight, most didn’t expect him to sustain Mayweather’s calculated attacks. Paul’s grit also was impressed Mayweather during the fight. “Great young fighter. Strong, tough. He’s better than I thought he was,” Mayweather said during his post-fight interview.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan also commended Paul’s effort after the fight.
