Teofimo Lopez has accomplished a lot throughout his boxing career so far. At just the age of 25 years old, he has gone toe-to-toe against some of the big names in the sport. He even defeated the likes of Vasyl Lomachenko and achieved a resounding victory against Josh Taylor earlier this year. However, he then surprisingly announced his retirement from the sport in a previous tweet. Moreover, he stated that the only way he would get back was if he was offered a nine-figure deal. He had claimed that he was only getting paid a million dollars per fight even though he made “ESPN over a hundred million dollars.”
However, it seems that ‘the Takeover’ is finally prepared to make his return to the ring once again. Recently, he shared the video of his training, and in the caption, he stated, “Steady Focused.” Furthermore, recently, the news of Lopez’s return being pushed back to early 2024 also surfaced. Not only that, but the boxing sensation is also dealing with a lot in his personal life as he goes through a divorce with his spouse. This even led to the fighter being under a lot of stress before the Josh Taylor fight. However, it seems that he is all well now and is looking to shock the boxing world with another electrifying performance soon.
