“May Your Dad RIP!”: Boxing World Come Together to Mourn Pro Boxer’s Father’s Demise, Heartfelt Condolences Pour In 

If there’s one thing that the boxing community knows, it is to stand by each other when the going gets rough. Whenever a fighter has stood in mourning, they have found a bunch of well-wishers by their side, pulling them through difficult times, and helping them move forward. Recently, up-and-coming fighter, Teflon Juvi experienced this camaraderie as he was struck with a major tragedy.

Teflon Juvi, a fighter per his X account, is a professional boxer with a record of 8 wins and 3 losses. While he remains relatively unknown in mainstream boxing, it did not hinder people on social media from standing by him as he dealt with the loss of a family member. Quite active on the micr0-blogging site, with takes on raging topics in the sport, it was not shocking to see the support he received from his followers.

Teflon Juvi finds support in fans

On the 2nd of January, 2023, Juvi informed his followers that his father passed away. He wrote, “Lost my dad last night. I’m hurt.”  Along with the message, he also shared an image of himself with his parents, invoking a heartwarming sense of remembrance. Users were quick to jump by his side and comfort him in such trying times.

One user sent his condolences to Juvi’s family.

Another user sent their prayers for him and his family to deal with the loss.

Adams Boxing Show, known for their takes on the sport of boxing also wrote a message of condolence while praying for strength for the grieving family.

Another user wished the fighter more strength as he tried to navigate his life forward.

Then came a user with their comforting words. They consoled the grieving fighter by suggesting that his father will “live through him” now.

In trying times, it is only the sense of comfort that comes from the world that remains. Teflon Juvi sees that today. In the wake of his father’s death, he truly experiences the power of community, standing by him as he hopes to move forward from the tragic loss. Our prayers too are with him and his family in these difficult times.
