The entire Mayweather camp is happy with the way Curmel Moton has been gradually moving towards boxing stardom. The young boxer who debuted professionally this year remains unbeaten, winning both bouts through early stoppages.
The Utah-born prodigy has been displaying far greater maturity for his age, honing his skills by sparring with other seasoned fighters and sometimes even world champions. It goes a long way in helping him understand different styles. The takeaways from experienced boxers will help him address his own shortcomings. Thus, he wholeheartedly supported WBA (super) and IBF (super bantamweight) champion Marlon Tapales. The latter will face Naoya Inoue in a few hours. The Filipino side complimented the young boxer, along with a few others. Soon, a proud Leonard Ellerbe couldn’t prevent himself from sharing his bit for Curmel Moton.

A star on the move
The young prodigy had already made a name for himself as an amateur boxer. But the world first took notice of him when, fighting on the undercard of the Canelo Alvarez–Jermell Charlo fight, he floored Ezequiel Flores in the opening round. Two months later, he was back in the ring. This time, he faced Turbyfill on the David Benavidez–Demetrius Andrade card. The outcome followed the first fight, as Moton knocked out the Tennessee native in the first round.
It should be interesting to note that both fights occurred after the main fight of the event got over. But despite the disadvantage, there has been no letdown in the young boxer’s popularity. Footage of his fights started going viral across social media platforms. Information related to his upcoming fight remains unavailable. However, it remains a fact that many fans would be looking for the brilliant young boxer, whom many have already started calling the next Floyd Mayweather Jr.
