Ahead of his bout, Wilder recently garnered a lot of attention for his knuckles during a candid banter with Derek Chisora. A look at his calcified fists has his fans going wild.

Derek Chisora was shooting a selfie video for his Instagram story when he bumped into Deontay Wilder. Both are now in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in the lead-up to Wilder’s fight. Wilder walked up to Chisora and shook his hands. Chisora then mentioned how the ‘Bronze Bomber’ has been getting some good sleep, and Wilder agreed with ‘Del Boy War’. He then introduced the new nickname that he had given himself.

“They calling me Dr.Sleep nowadays,” remarked the Bronze Bomber, holding up his fists. Even Derek Chisora nodded in agreement and seemed to like the nickname. So it would be interesting to see if, after the bout against Joseph Parker, that’s what people might start calling him.

However, the fans are already impressed by the huge hands and knuckles seen in the video.

Deontay Wilder is a Doctor at putting people to sleep

In the video, the former heavyweight champion Derek Chisora held up his phone when Wilder joined him. That’s when both of them shouted, “Bomb squad.” At that moment, Wilder had his fist in the frame, which spurred a conversation all over the comments section of the video.

One of the fans stated that he had metal in his hands and that his knuckles looked “crazy“. They wrote, “Yeah that metal in his hand got his knuckles looking crazy.”

Another fan talked about how his knockout power is because of his back muscles, rather than his knuckles. They wrote, “The source is in his back.”

One fan stated that Wilder had a sleeping drug embedded in his knuckles. They wrote, “Deontay got Ambien in both hands.”
