Mike Tyson Backtracks on Absurd Claim

Legendary boxer Mike Tyson has been a part of several controversies throughout his career. His agitated behavior followed by similar actions has generated much contentious news. Although he has transformed into a calmer person now, his rematch with Evander Holyfield continues to generate a significant amount of interest among fans. Tyson recently made certain comments about the same, but soon after, contradicted them, which has left fans puzzled.

Mike Tyson has a successful cannabis business with the name ‘Tyson 2.0’. The veteran athlete got the idea of ear-shaped edibles from his infamous fight with Evander Holyfield when he abruptly bit off a portion of Holyfield’s ear. Boxing fans still reminisce about the fight, as something like that rarely happens in a boxing match.

Notably, Tyson recently stated in an interview, “I don’t know if it was $30 million, but it was more than 3(million) that I got since fined for.” However, not too long ago, he had stated a different number for his earnings since he was fined $3 million.

‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ was disqualified from the fight, and Holyfield was titled as the winner. Although Tyson must feel disappointed for getting disqualified, he certainly found a way to get a payback.

Years later, from his 1997 rematch fight against Holyfield, ‘Iron Mike’ launched his cannabis business, which earns him millions currently. But before mentioning that the number was just above $3 million, Tyson stated in a podcast, “Listen, I made so much money because I got fined 3 million for that. I might have made 30 million since that happened, from that bite.” 

Apparently, Tyson first said that he earned around $30 million from biting Holyfield’s ear. But then he claimed that he was not sure about $30 million, but mentioned that the number was more than $3 million.

The former boxer reportedly makes over $500,000 a month from his cannabis business. Notably, he is constructing a big 418-acre vacation resort with a marijuana theme.
