As rapper Nick Cannon appeared on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, the discussion quickly went from the material plane to the spiritual world. At one point in the podcast, Cannon even talked about his beliefs about the afterlife. He also reflected on what many know as the state of “flow” in psychology. He stated that regardless of the profession, when someone is in the “zone”, they are able to tap into the “God energy.” This leads to Tyson’s co-host questioning him if he believes in equal energy like Will Smith and Quincy Jones.
He asked, “Do you believe in a equal energy like Quincy Jones and Will Smith, they actually connected, do you believe in that kind of energy?” To this, Tyson shared his confusion and stated that he doesn’t know what Whoo Kid is talking about. Tyson appeared to be clueless about the matter. This prompted Kid to clarify how Jones and Smith seemed to have tapped into a special connection that propelled them to new heights of success. He added, “It’s like they connected and they moved on to another situation where Will is successful.” Cannon agreed to this wholeheartedly, as he suggested that energy builds upon energy.
He stated, “I mean, yeah, but that’s what I’m saying—it’s, I believe energy builds upon energy, and it’s like a like-minded individuals who—.” However, he was cut short by Whoo Kid, who pointed out that “That’s [like-minded] the only people you could connect with.” This led Cannon to go deep into his thoughts about the matter as he discussed Smith and Jones’ connection.
