Mike Tyson Gives ‘$50 Million’ Advice to ‘Discouraged’ Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua has lost his last two consecutive fights, and both of these losses came at the hands of the Ukrainian boxer, Oleksandr Usyk. Even though Joshua has only 3 losses on his record, these last two back-to-back losses may have left an impact on the boxer’s mindset. Even, Mike Tyson has come forward in an interview, where he gave crucial advice to Anthony Joshua on how to exactly go about after his losses against Usyk.

In the first fight against Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua lost the bout by a unanimous decision. Then in the rematch, the fight again went to the judges and Usyk won by a split decision. After the second fight, Joshua couldn’t even control his sorrow and broke down into tears during the post-fight press conference.

In an interview with iD Boxing, Mike Tyson was asked by the reporter, about his thoughts on Anthony Joshua, and his advice to a boxer of his caliber going through the pressure of 2 consecutive losses.

Mike Tyson, at first, stated that Anthony Joshua possesses an ample amount of talent and he has no reason to feel discouraged.

Tyson said, “He has a lot of talent and not to get discouraged. He only loses when he quits when you quit all the doors of opportunities close you know what I mean.”

Mike Tyson further adds that losing and winning are a part of boxing. There is no need of getting demotivated, Tyson said, “Don’t let this internalize you, oh I can’t fight now this white boy kicked my a**, people are laughing at me. No. He kicked my ass for 50 million dollars or 30 million dollars, I hope he kicks my ass again but this time it might not work out that way, Imma kick his a**.”

Recently, Mike Tyson also sent a stern warning to Usyk regarding Tyson Fury.

Moreover, Tyson stressed the importance of having more fights for Joshua instead of just ‘laying off’ and delaying his time to get back into the ring.

‘Iron’ Mike Tyson then further continued, “I think the more time you lay off, the worse you get. You have to be, you have to fight, to be the best you have to do it more and more and more.” And that’s what exactly Joshua is planning to do, as he’s getting back in the ring on April 1st of this year. This bout has the potential to kickstart ‘AJ”s road to mending to his damaged reputation.

Joshua’s opponent has won 22 fights and only lost 1 fight. Even in the one fight which he lost, many boxing fans still wonder whether he was robbed of the win by judges. The result of that fight is a controversial one.

Franklin will definitely prove to be a challenging opponent for Anthony Joshua, and both fighters would be fighting to prove themselves.
