A world champion by the young age of twenty, Mike Tyson had a tremendous run in the sport. While ‘The Baddest Man on Earth’ actively took part in boxing, he had 58 professional fights. Apart from 6 career losses, he had 50 wins, of which 44 came by devastating knockouts, each making a powerful statement about Tyson’s prowess and will.

Several times, he ended the match in the first round itself, and that too, within a couple of seconds after the referee started the fight. Ricardo Spain, Lorenzo Canady, Michael Johnson, Donnie Long, Robert Colay, and Reggie Gross – the list goes on. While Tyson’s destructive punches ended the career of the others, they strongly contributed to the identity of the man.

Tyson issuing an apology to someone he has just embraced with his punch is a rare story. Remember how in 2000, after Tyson demolished Lou Savarese in the very first round and issued Lennox Lewis a warning that sent chills down the spines?
He had said, “I’m the best ever. I’m the most brutal, efficient, and ruthless champion there’s ever been. There’s no one can stop me. Lennox is a conqueror? No. I’m Alexander, he’s no Alexander. I’m the best ever. There’s never been anybody as ruthless. I’m Sonny Liston. I’m Jack Dempsy.”

“There’s no one like me. I’m from their cloth. There’s no one that can match me. My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable, and I’m just ferocious. I want your heart. I want to eat his children. Praise be to Allah.”
After all these years, Tyson, 55, now finally issues an apology to someone he has punched in the face.

In a recent Instagram post by Mike Tyson, fans see ‘Iron’ train wild with his coach Rafael Cordeiro. Cordeiro, who is wearing pads all over his body, faces a raging Tyson demonstrating the will to steamroll. Tyson, all pumped up, throws a couple of hooks at Cordeiro’s way. However, one punch misses the target and finds its way straight towards Cordeiro’s open mouth.
