Mike Tyson: “It’s Easier to Live in Prison Than It Is Outside”

Mike Tyson ranks among the most praise-worthy names of boxing today. However, he had his fair share of controversies in the past, which pinned him as a ‘bad boy’ of the sport. Despite that, Tyson stayed centered, and he kept coming back from adversities to become one true boxing great.
Tyson had enough trials in the sport when he was in his absolute prime. That said, he even went to jail several times and spent some considerable time there. Hence, it’s safe to say that he’s witnessed life from a different vertical altogether and there’s no one who can come close to him with such bizarre experiences.
Recently, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’, in an exclusive conversation with Michael Franzese, talked about his stint in jail and why is it easier to live there.

“It’s easier to live in prison than it is outside. Outside you ain’t s**t and prison you’re somebody. You can write letters, you be in the school. These motherf**kers can’t read and write. They pay you to write letters from you, the f**kin man!” he said.
With all the experiences he has in the bag, Tyson has always tried to become a better version of himself, someone that his kids can look up to. After retiring from the sport in 2005, he went out of the limelight and worked extensively on himself.
That’s predominantly why he has completely transformed ever since he left professional boxing. Now, he is a podcast host, Hollywood star, and motivational speaker.
