Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has had a great professional relationship with Grammy-winning rapper Drake. The two have worked closely since the Canadian’s rise to stardom even working on some business projects together. Moreover, they even collaborated when Drake launched his OVO X Tyson hoodies which saw great success.

Thus, it came as no surprise after ‘Iron Mike’ came out to support his close friend following Drake’s arrest in Sweden. The rapper recently posted a dump of his Europe trip where he can be seen escorted by the police in the second slide.

Mike Tyson comes out to support Drake after his arrest

Tyson shared a photo posted by Drake on his Instagram story. In the picture, the two can be seen standing together at a party. Moreover, this picture was included in the same post as the one where the footage of Drake was taken away by police officials. The post was meant as a recap of the year as the ‘Hotline Bling’ hitmaker also subtly detailed his plans for next year.

“The funds are useful, The lyrics are truthful, The suspects are usual, The opps are delusional, The finish line is beautiful And the disrespect is mutual. See you in 23” he wrote.

The former heavyweight champion was quick to reach out to his friend during his time of need. In addition, Drake also showed his respect for ‘Iron Mike’ by posting a picture along with him.

Why was Drake detained by the police in Sweden?

Back in July, there were rumors circulating that Drake was arrested by the Swedish police. It was suspected that he was arrested on charges of possession of Marijuana.

However, it was confirmed by one of his reps that he was not arrested. Following this, he took to social media and posted a photo of a letter from the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Sweden’s National Police Board.

The letter revealed that Drake was not arrested by the police but was rather detained for questioning. This was because he was suspected of a crime but was released after no evidence was found.
