David Haye, in an interview with Fight Hub TV, gave his opinion about the upcoming match-up. In the YouTube video, Haye said, “Got a big one Saturday night, you know live on TNT sports box office. You got Daniel Dubois trying to do what many appear as a mission impossible going against Oleksandr Usyk, you know the unified heavyweight champion of the world.” He further praised Usyk for not having many areas of weaknesses stating he has “very-very few chinks in his armor.” He stated that Dubois will need to “put the heat on Usyk.” The former champion advised the WBA world Heavyweight champion to utilize his “superior frame, his size, his youth, his freshness” to his advantage.

Furthermore, he added that Usyk has had a lot of fights throughout his career so Dubois is “gonna need to do something very special.” He called the Ukrainian a “wizard” and a “magician” in the ring. He advised ‘Dynamite’ to not allow “Usyk to do his tricks and he needs to knock the cards out his hands, grab him, get points deducted if needs be.” Haye claimed, “But he’s gotta drag Usyk into a very-very uncomfortable situation. He can do it, he’s got the physical capability to do it he’s got the punch power to do it. Come on Danny, let’s do this son.” Haye appeared to be advising the 19-1-0 boxer to use everything he could in order to achieve this victory.

‘Dynamite’ reveals his plan for the bout

Dubois’ record speaks for itself, having 18 K.O’s out of 19 fights is an astounding feat for a boxer. However, he is matched against a master who brought defeat to the likes of Anthony Joshua. So it is likely that he may end up facing some troubles against the highly technical Usyk. In a recent interview with Boxing News, he shared his plans for the upcoming bout. He boldly stated, “I need to take it with both hands and rip them belts off him.”

Moreover, he also stated that he plans to “go right through” ‘The Cat’. He stated that his plan is a rather straightforward plan as he simply intends to go “crazy in there.” He added, “Fight crazy, fight wild.” However, he does have some advantages of a 6’3 inches boxer with his 6’5 inches height. However their reach is the same 78 inches, plus it is to be noted that the Crimea-native has previously defeated 6’6 inches tall AJ. So height doesn’t seem to be that much of a handicap for the British boxer.
