Back in 2014, Floyd Mayweather indulged in a heated altercation with a renowned rapper, T.I., over a woman. It all started when Floyd Mayweather shared a picture on his Instagram with a woman named, ‘Tiny’. Chaos ensued when it was revealed that ‘Tiny’ was indeed the wife of T.I., and he did not take this well. Later, when Mayweather was sitting in a restaurant with his entourage, he was confronted by the rapper. After that, chairs were hurled at the venue followed by tons of yelling. According to Mayweather, they met each other again in a jewelry store where he assured T.I. that he had nothing going on with his wife.

Well, many would assume this incident may have made the rapper have a dim view of the boxers. But it wasn’t so, as in all these years, T.I. had maintained a cordial relationship with the boxing legend, Mike Tyson. Interestingly, both of them have their differences with Floyd Mayweather, which is a rare similarity between the two. However, nine years after this fiasco, Tyson commended the rapper on his podcast.

Mike Tyson gives a shoutout to T.I. in his podcast

In the latest episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, the co-host, DJ Whoo Kid, asked the guest, Symba, about how he tried to blend in with the New York rappers, who were dominating the hip-hop industry back in his time. But the rapper stated that he doesn’t like looking at things “demographically“. Moreover, things seem to have changed now, as Atlanta has taken rap music to the next level.

To this, Mike Tyson pitched in and said, “Atlanta kicking a** though.” Symba agreed with the legend and gave a shoutout to the city. Then Tyson went on to take the name of the renowned rapper who hailed from Atlanta, amassing a net worth of $60 million in his career. Tyson uttered, “T.I.” The co-host, DJ Whoo Kid, replied with just one word, “epic“. As it turned out, nobody denied the influence of T.I. over the music industry and Tyson acknowledged his clout within the industry.

Moreover, Symba stated that he was first signed by ‘Tip’ when he began to make music. The past relationship of Mike Tyson with Floyd Mayweather would also explain his support for the rapper. However, this is not the first time Tyson has backed up T.I.’s endeavors.  Before this, he even showed up at his comedy gig.
