Slim Albaher emerged victorious in the Misfits Boxing middleweight title bout held in Manchester, facing off against Salt Papi. Salt Papi, who had previously suffered a defeat to Anthony Taylor on a Misfits card in May, notably appeared in improved physical condition. However, it was evident that he had to undergo a significant weight cut to achieve this. Salt Papi displayed impressive skills in the first two rounds, but the tide turned in the fourth when he was knocked down.

While he managed to rise to his feet, Slim Albaher continued to apply relentless pressure. Referee Rafael Ramos ultimately stepped in to halt the fight, as Salt Papi, though still standing, was unable to defend himself. Slim Albaher’s triumph in this fight was a significant moment in Misfits Boxing, showcasing his dominance in the middleweight division. However, there is an interesting revelation made by KSI’s promoter about this fight. The fans had mixed reactions.

The boxing promoter, Mams Taylor, recently talked about the tenth event of the Misfits Boxing, on the Misfits Boxing Small Council podcast. He said, “Speaking of body shots as well I know I’m going back and forth I got told that Slim almost couldn’t carry on in round one from a body shot from Salt which was interesting.” So he confirmed how Albaher could’ve easily lost that fight if he didn’t have the endurance. However, the fans don’t believe him.

One of the fans talked about how this statement is not true. They speculated that it’s being done to keep Influencer boxing relevant.

Another fan talked about how they’d only believe this statement if Slim Albaher said it himself.

One more fan was on the same page as the others, stating that it’s being said so that Salt Papi doesn’t lose his charm in the YouTube boxing community.

A fan stated that they admire Mams Taylor. But this time, they know he isn’t telling the truth regarding this information.

An X user also talked about how their favorite fighter lost against Slim, and now they’re doing damage control.

So, the fans completely supported Slim Albaher and his phenomenal performance against Salt Papi. However, there was a time when Albaher pulled out of this fight due to a specific reason.

In August this year, KSI took to X, expressing his thoughts, “Slim has officially dodged Salt Papi, lol, what a move.” Furthermore, KSI alleged that Salt Papi had offered to fight Slim at 165lbs, but Slim had remained silent. In his tweet, KSI stated, “He even suggested a 165lb bout. Salt Papi agreed. Now Slim seems to have disappeared.

In response to KSI’s tweet, Slim fired back at X, making it crystal clear twhy he declined the initial offer. Slim indicated that he expected a more substantial purse to step into the ring with Salt Papi. In a subsequent tweet, Slim elaborated that he and Papi had the potential to deliver the most exciting and entertaining fight of the night.

Hence they should be compensated accordingly. “Papi and I would undeniably be the highlight of the evening in terms of excitement and entertainment. We just want fair compensation, and we’re in,” Slim asserted. But the fight did happen, and Slim surprised everyone by defeating Papi.  What are your thoughts about this?
