As expected by the community of boxing, following the rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury announced his return to the ring. While Tyson Fury prepared to fight Derek Chisora for the third time on December 3, Usyk acknowledged his desire to fight ‘The Gypsy King’. In fact, Usyk declared Fury to be his next opponent in the boxing ring.

According to Usyk, Tyson Fury is a “nice sportsman” who he “respects.” Even though Fury is not as “cool” as he talked about himself, Usyk would prioritize his fight with Fury over any other event in pro boxing. Given Fury defeats Chisora on December 3, Usyk would fight ‘The Gypsy King.’

Usyk said, “Regarding Tyson Fury, he’s a good athlete, he’s a nice sportsman who I respect. We have the plan to fight Tyson Fury and this is our biggest priority at this moment. Many people now try to say that I claim that my next opponent is Deontay Wilder. No, it’s not true. My next opponent is Tyson Fury, I claim this now.”

Usyk is currently the WBA Super and IBF, IBO, and WBO World Heavyweight champion in pro boxing. Usyk, who wants to go by the identity of one of the greatest heavyweights of all time, has the desire to fight both Wilder and Fury.

Oleksandr Usyk spoke about getting rid of Tyson Fury and facing Deontay Wilder

Before squaring off with Deontay Wilder, Usyk would like to “get rid of” Tyson Fury. Wilder recently made his comeback with a sensation knockout win. He fought Robert Helenius in his comeback fight.

Concerning both Fury and Wilder Usyk said, “But when I get rid of Tyson Fury, after I defeat him I will be able to discuss that with Deontay. Because he [Wilder] is the one I would also like to fight.”
