‘The Gypsy King’, Tyson Fury is all set for his homecoming fight against ‘The Body Snatcher’, Dillian Whyte. This bout will be Fury’s first fight in the United Kingdom since his win against Francesco Pianeta in August 2018. Fans all-around the UK have been eagerly waiting for their Gypsy King to defend his title in front of them.
Unsurprisingly, the iconic Wembley Arena is sold out for this action-packed main event on Saturday 23rd April 2022.

When asked about the reason why the WBC heavyweight title fight sold around 95,000 tickets, Fury did not hold back and shied away from taking all the credit. He told iFL TV that Wembley sold out thanks to him and only him.

Fury claimed, “People ain’t coming to see Frilly and Whyte”, he further added, “They coming to see me in me final performance of the decade and that’s it”
The WBC and lineal heavyweight champion confirmed during the interview that he would be hanging up his gloves after this fight.
People’s love for the Gypsy King
Fury is dubbed the ‘People’s Champion’ as he is loved by fans and critics alike. He quickly shut down the claims of the fight being sold out because it was against Dillian Whyte. The 34-year-old is fully aware of the love and admiration of the people.
The Gypsy King reinforced the fact that his beloved boxing fans would come to watch him regardless of the opponent. He stated, “I could have fought anybody on my homecoming and sold out Wembley.”

According to him, people will buy his tickets even in the strangest of conditions.
He continued, “I could have got me a shovel up and went to the local cemetery and breathed life back into somebody and sold him out of Wembley at 90 odd thousand people.”
