Ryan Garcia has publicly lashed out at his promoters Oscar De La Hoya and Bernard Hopkins. According to Garcia, Hopkins and De La Hoya fail to appreciate the talent that Garcia possesses. Likewise, ‘KigRy’ even declared that his promoters were rooting for his opponent Oscar Duarte in secret.
In the wake of this incident, an old clip of Zab Judah blasting De La Hoya and Hopkins resurfaced. In 2013 when Judah was about to face Danny Garcia, a comment by De La Hoya upset ‘Super’. As a result, he publicly confronted the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions at the Judah vs. Garcia final press conference.

Due to the animosity Zab Judah and Danny Garcia shared at the final press conference of their fight, it was decided that Judah would enter the stage only after team Garcia had interacted with the media and left. Likewise, as Judah later reported, ‘Super’ was asked to wait inside a little room. However, with no water and food, the former Unified Welterweight champion was infuriated and decided to leave for his hotel before speaking at the press conference. But, as soon as Oscar De La Hoya branded Judah “unprofessional” over the mentioned action, Zab took a u-turn and reappeared to blast ‘Golden Boy’ for his statement.

“I’ve been down here since 11 o’clock in the basement downstairs. No water, no food, no nothing. They had us locked in a little room. This is insane. Why? Because of Danny Garcia and his crew with their insecurities? You making comments about me without even checking your facts. You are a professional promoter. Do your research, bro,” Judah added.
