Sparring is an excellent way for a boxer to train and understand how to perfect their punches. However, like everything in the sport of boxing, sparring also comes with its own set of rules. In a brilliant exhibition of these rules, a fighter won the hearts of fans when he abided by them.
Getting knocked out, out, or even floored is a natural outcome in sparring, whether it be in a sparring session or a tournament. Generally, in light-sparring, the intensity of the fight is dropped significantly, and the focus is on the quality of the punches. In such circumstances, knockouts are a rare occurrence. When a fighter is well aware of his power, and controls it in sparring sessions, preventing knockouts, he earns the respect of spectators. An example of such controlled power is a fighter who left the internet saluting him.

Nasty Punch, But Respectable Conduct
Boxing Kingdom shared footage of a practice session between two amateur fighters that has become the talk of the town. The two boxers, in full training gear, were seen engrossed in the session. As the fighter in red stepped up to throw an overhand right, his opponent in black stepped back and counter-punched him with a left hook that shook the fighter in red. Soon he lost his legs, but instead of taking his chance and hurting his opponent more, the fighter in black helped his sparring partner towards the corner. Fans impressed by the sportsmanship, immediately jumped in to commend him. One user was glad that the dominant fighter did not continue throwing jabs at his partner and gave him a breather.
Gotta respect the fact that he didn’t keep hitting him.

The fighter who received the fazing hook seemed like he wanted to continue the session. Good spirit of redemption, right? The other wanted to pause. Graceful, right? A fan noticed their dignified conduct.
I love their attitude. The dude got rocked & still wanted smoke, and the other guy had no interest at all in taking advantage to hurt him. There are pro fighters that would've taken his head off & then boasted about it by posting it on the net 🤦♂️

There is no denying that the dominant fighter threw a well-calculated, powerful shot.
What a shot! They did well to stop it on time.

Another user called the fighter in black disciplined and respectful. What an apt description!
He’s a very discipline fighter and I respect him for listening instead of knocking him out.

Then came a user who expressed the need to have more such disciplined fighters in the sport amidst those who await their turns to wield their power.
