On the other hand, Cruz promised that he would make Romero eat his words on the day they fight.

When Isaac Cruz and Gervonta Davis shared the ring in 2021, the latter fought with an injured hand. However, Davis managed to defeat Cruz via UD to retain his WBA Lightweight title.
