Despite his fifty-four-years and a tenth defeat, Roy Jones Jr. remains unstoppable, so much so that the former multiple-division champion and Olympic silver medalist stepped into another dimension to face bodybuilder NDO Champ! Thankfully, the boxing legend knocked out the novice in the seventh round. His victory in a bout, a first of its kind, got the fans curious, and soon they joined, sharing their feelings and standpoints.
Shared by @dantheboxingman, the tweet read, “Roy Jones Jr. got a TKO win in the 7th round in the 1st ever boxing fight in the metaverse…and hopefully the last.” Since it came early today, the post has attracted over 100k views and over a hundred retweets. From the gist of it, seemingly some followers have yet to gather what metaverse is. As usual, quite a few questioned Jones Jr. about entering such events.

First a defeat, then a win this year for Roy Jones Jr., but not in reality
Although unable to understand what a metaverse is, according to the following user Jack Smith is my guy, Roy Jones Jr., who suffered nearly ten defeats in his career, should utilize the space by embarking on a campaign to even the score by reversing those losses.
Roy should now embark on a quest to avenge all his losses, but in the metaverse, whatever the fuck that is.

To user Odd Man Out, it appeared the metaverse bout was plucked straight from the first ‘Knockout Kings.’ According to him, Jones Jr. has turned over into a cartoonish character.
Looks like something out of the original Knockout Kings lol. Roy has literally gone full cartoon.

jaim believes that Roy Jones Jr. has gone too far and needs to settle down. On April 1, Anthony Pettis defeated him. The user finds watching some of his boxing favorites and indulging in these gimmicks difficult. However, it remains justified if he does it to make money.
Roy needs to knock it off. He just lost to AP not long ago. This is awful watching my boxing 🐐s participate in this crap. (Unless he needs the money, then fair play)

Given Roy Jones Jr.’s age and time spent in the sport, user Cuddly Teddy Bear contends that one looks like a character from PlayStation 1 if he keeps boxing for too long.
When you box for so long father time just gives up and turns you into a PS1 character.

Perhaps stretching his imagination, Craig wonders why Jones Jr. didn’t take advantage of an alternate reality. He could have requested that his avatar be a fire-spitting, thirty-feet-tall dragon and instead remained a fifty-five-year-old himself.
If it's going to be animated anyway why didn't Roy ask for his avatar to be a thirty foot tall dragon throwing hadukons instead of a 55 year old Roy Jones?

Roy Jones Jr. retired from boxing in 2018. However, two years later, he returned to fight an exhibition match against Mike Tyson. Ever a fighter, ‘Captain Hook,’ staged a return to professional boxing this year against mixed martial artist Anthony Pettis. Unfortunately, the campaign ended in disaster as the boxer lost the fight by a majority decision.
