Ahead of the fight between Devin Haney and Regis Prograis, Ryan Garcia has predicted a fight between him and Haney in 2024. However, the difficult thing is that Garcia also wishes to take on Rolly Romero inside the ring, so in the end, the choice comes to who to choose as an opponent for his next fight in March. Heading into his matchup with Prograis, Haney boasts an undefeated record of 30-0 with 15 knockouts.
This comes on the heels of Garcia’s recent success, securing an eighth-round knockout against Oscar Duarte on December 2. He elevated his own record to 24-1 with an impressive 20 knockouts. So, recently in a series of posts, Garcia has tried to resolve his dilemma regarding his next opponent.

Ryan Garcia tries to finalize his next opponent
Having forged a rivalry since their amateur days, Garcia and Haney share a history of six bouts, with reports suggesting an equal split of three victories each. Intriguingly, this competitive dynamic has yet to spill over into their professional careers, as the two talented fighters have not faced each other in the ring since turning professional. Ryan Garcia’s first post suggests that no matter what happens, ‘KingRy’ is too sure about his matchup with Devin Haney in the year 2024.
One thing is certain in my eyes is that Haney and I will fight in 2024. You can hold me to it unless it’s not in Gods Will

Then he talked about how he’s planning to fight in March, and he thinks it’d be difficult for Haney to accept the fight at that time. So, Garcia is also open to taking on Rolly Romero instead.
I’m fighting in March so I don’t think Haney can run it back In time but open to it.
Makes sense for rolly and I to run it in March

He made a light-hearted joke in the third one about who should he be picking first, Haney or Romero. Answering himself, he stated that it doesn’t matter.

Garcia also mentioned how he’s also thinking about fighting the winner of the bout happening tonight, Devin Haney vs. Regis Prograis.

Garcia chooses Devin Haney for the victory
Excitement looms for Garcia as he anticipates grabbing a ringside seat to witness the clash between Haney and Prograis. Analyzing the bout on paper, Haney seems to hold the upper hand in terms of skill, while Prograis brings power and aggression to the ring. Garcia, despite looking forward to the spectacle, doesn’t merely see himself as a spectator.
Confident in his assessment, he believes he holds a good idea of the likely winner. He told Fight Hub TV, “You gotta give the edge to Devin Haney, pure boxer. He just knows what he’s doing in there. I like his game.”
