Ryan Garcia has gone ballistic on Errol Spence Jr. The American boxer knows the actual reason why the rumors of a split between ‘The Truth’ and his long-time trainer Derrick James have gained traction recently. Not only did he confirm those talks, but he also detailed the reason behind their separation. But it’s Claressa Shields who didn’t shy away from poking fun at the lightweight boxer.

Spence Jr., 34, has learned the intricacies of sweet science from James as both go back to his amateur days. But there are doubts in Spence Jr.’s mind about whether to stick with James anymore after suffering a defeat to Terence Crawford. However, according to ‘KingRy’, the reason is about pay, not James’ inadequacy to guide Spence Jr. to a win.

Ryan Garcia’s X-rated rant sounds funny to Claressa Shields

‘AccordingToBoxing’ posted a voice note of Garcia, as he discussed the Spence Jr.-James fiasco. The 25-year-old boxer revealed that James had yet to be paid his fees. Moreover, he also admitted he paid James more, despite only joining him after his loss against Gervonta Davis. He went on an X-rated rant as he declared, “F*ck Errol. Yeah, f*ck Errol. He ain’t with Derrick James.”

“You fought, you don’t want to pay him some money. That’s f*cked up. It’s all business but still… I pay him more on a fight I make less. The f*ck! Come one motherf*cker. He has been with you your whole career. F*ck is wrong with you,” Garcia added.

Despite the grave suggestion by the Victorville native, Claressa Shields had an amusing take on the situation. Instead of focusing on the details, she focused more on how Garcia put forth his case. She turned to his X-handle and wrote, “Man everytime I hear his voice he just sounds a lil wasted.”

James has been out of the loop and is not in contact with Spence Jr. He disclosed it to Cigar Talk, saying that he was focused on other guys. “I talked to him maybe three weeks ago… Mentally, I guess he’s okay.” While he has his work cut out in the upcoming Devin Haney fight, it might not be long before he quits boxing.

Derrick James planning to retire from boxing

James told Beto Duran during Garcia’s media workout that his pupil could be as good as he wanted to be. However, he also revealed his plans to get out of boxing. His famous gym in Dallas, World Class Boxing Gym, currently also hosts the likes of Jermell Charlo.

“I am not taking any fighters after this. I am done, I am out of boxing, I am packing up.” James said. It remains to be seen how this Spence Jr. and James situation unfolds. It also depends on whether James can guide Garcia to an upset.
