Prior to facing Gervonta Davis on April 15 in 2023, Ryan Garcia is heading for a tune-up with Mercito Gesta in January. Reportedly, the two have signed the contract to fight at 140 lbs. While Garcia is 24 and still undefeated inside the professional ring, Gesta is 35 and possesses 3 losses as well as 3 draws in professional boxing.

Garcia, who had his last fight against Javier Fortuna in which he secured a 6th-round KO win, is much desired to settle the scores with ‘Tank’ Davis. Likewise, Davis will also fight in January before squaring off against Garcia in the ring.

Gesta and Garcia both are southpaw fighters. However, while Luis Garcia stands 5′ 9″ tall inside the boxing ring, Gesta stands only 5’7″ tall while fighting. It would be worth watching how Ryan Garcia and Davis tackle themselves in January ahead of the April fight.
