Ryan Garcia just shocked the world with his enthralling victory against Devin Haney. And he did it all while convincing the whole world that he wasn’t his 100% and was suffering from some mental health issues, at least that’s what he revealed on the PBD Podcast. So were all the social media antics fake? Apparently, yes. But not to worry, luckily, Garcia will surely still deliver a fair share of drama, like he did recently. Now, Garcia has called out Errol Spence Jr through his social media.

The question arises, is ‘KingRy’ ready to make the jump to the welterweight? It doesn’t matter, since he’s made it quite personal with Spence Jr. As of now, Errol Spence Jr is indulged in a legal battle with Derrick James, who’s been there with him since the beginning. The drift took place when Spence Jr. lost drastically against Terence Crawford. Interestingly, Garcia is trained by James right now and he wants to take revenge for his trainer.

Back when Spence Jr. decided to split with his trainer Derrick James, Garcia had verbally abused ‘The Truth’. Later, he also revealed that Spence Jr. never paid his trainer fairly, in fact, there have been times when Garcia has paid James more than Spence Jr, even though, ‘The Flash’ made less than Spence. So, he saw this as a sign of betrayal and expected something better than the former unified welterweight champion.

Now, amidst their legal dispute, Garcia pitched in with an open challenge to Spence Jr. and asked him to meet him face-to-face. In a video posted by Michael Benson on X, Garcia stated, “Yeah, Spence got beef with my coach. What’s good? Come see me. You want to assume? I want to beat you up. Facts, bro. Do-do-do-do-do-do-do. Knockout arrow. Nice.” Well, this is perfect timing, since Spence Jr. had already announced his return.

The disheartening two-way legal feud…

Boxing trainer Derrick James and his former boxer, welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr., are embroiled in a bitter legal battle. James, who guided Spence throughout his entire professional career, has filed a lawsuit seeking over $5 million in damages. The dispute centers around unpaid compensation for Spence’s highly anticipated fight against Terence Crawford last July. While Spence suffered a stunning defeat, the bout generated a hefty payday, estimated at $25 million.

James claims he’s owed a 10% cut of Spence’s total earnings from the fight, which would amount to a much larger sum than the $350,000 he received. Spence, however, maintains that James is only entitled to 10% of his guaranteed purse, which was significantly lower. This disagreement has escalated into a lawsuit filed by James, accusing Spence of breach of contract, fraud, and misrepresentation.

Spence has fired back with a countersuit seeking clarification on the terms of their agreement. With both sides taking legal action, it appears the once-successful partnership has come to a crashing end. Millions of dollars hang in the balance, and the boxing world awaits the outcome of this courtroom brawl. What do you think about this situation? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
