It all started when a fan asked Shakur Stevenson to stop comparing himself to Floyd Mayweather. Sharing a video of Mayweather’s old fight, a fan implied that Shakur had yet to display Mayweather’s ferocity. Replying to which, the boxer from Newark demanded former unified lightweight champion George Kambosos Jr.
Here, a fan asked if Artem Harutyunyan, Shakur’s last opponent was better than Kambosos Jr. Now, ‘Ferocious’ entered the chat! He declared Artem was a “local banker,” in other words, a stepping stone, to make Shakur “look good” and yet Stevenson “failed”. However, as Shakur called Artem better than Kambosos Jr., ‘Ferocious’ called Shakur a “bast*rd” and added that his fight against Artem was boring.
So, Stevenson replied that if he fails to get William Zepeda, he would love to “beat yo a** [George Kambosos Jr.]”. Claiming Shakur would ultimately avoid Zepeda, George Kambosos Jr. accepted Shakur’s challenge. “So let’s dance kid,” Kambosos Jr wrote on X. To this, Sugar replied immediately. “Let’s make a 500k side bet I stop u?” Shakur Stevenson added.

As George Kambosos Jr. was not happy with the $500k offer, he encouraged Shakur Stevenson to place a bet of $5 million instead. Additionally, Kambosos Jr. claimed that Shakur would break his hands against ‘Ferocious’ and subsequently retire from tweeting on X. Guess what Shakur replied? “Ok if I don’t stop you I will never tweet another tweet Ever again,” he wrote.
While George Kambosos Jr. vs. Shakur Stevenson looks like the next possible fight in the sport, Shakur is much more interested in William Zepeda. But, Kambosos Jr. trolled Shakur over the latter’s obsession with Twitter.

In his opinion, with the skill set that Zepeda has, he can bring the best out of Shakur Stevenson. However, following his banter with Shakur, Kambosos Jr. claimed Twitter was taking a toll on Shakur.
