Taking to his Instagram stories, the Cameroonian-French fighter shared extracts of his conversation with the Londoner, Joshua. One video was screengrabbed and posted by boxing insider, Michael Benson on his X. While Ngannou was outlining what the fight has in store for fans, AJ interrupted him. “Did you respect Tyson Fury’s power? Did you respect Fury’s power?” asked AJ. In response, Ngannou said, “I respect everybody’s power. Even if you put me against a fighter where I respect him, respect is power. Everybody is dangerous.”

Joshua, who is coming off his December victory over Otto Wallin, was referring to Ngannou’s maiden boxing bout. In October, he faced off against the WBC titlist, Tyson Fury. ‘Gypsy King’ won via split decision, prompting critics to highlight the power of ‘The Predator’. In a subsequent video, he noted, “Because I’m Francis Ngannou.” An assertion of a response to the question, “Why do you think you can beat Anthony Joshua?”

Joshua undertook three fights last year, winning all of them. Impressed by such a feat, his promoter Eddie Hearn suggested another three fights this year for the fighter. One among them is the Ngannou one that has prompted fans to predict its results already.
