The P4P king will return to action on May 6, and a lot of fans are excited about the fight. Recently, he made an Instagram Post, where he shared a picture of him getting ready for a sparring session. Meanwhile, it is safe to that the tides have changed a bit in the boxing world after David Benavidez secured a win against a previous opponent of Alvarez, Caleb Plant.

Additionally, Benavidez has been very vocal about wanting to fight Alvarez, but there is no confirmation yet from Alvarez’s side. It’s mostly because Canelo is currently fully involved in the Ryder fight, and it is an important fight for Alvarez on a personal level. As he will be fighting in his homeland, Mexico, after 12 years, and by doing so, is about to make history in the world of boxing.

Currently, it is understandable that Canelo wouldn’t want to think of anything else.
