Ahead of the fight on the 22nd of April, Gervonta Davis made a bold statement predicting Ryan Garcia‘s fate against him. The resident of Baltimore has publicly predicted the round in which he is going to KO Garcia in the ring. As per Davis, the current WBA lightweight champion will figure out Garcia for sixty percent of the fight inside T-Mobile.

Following the end of the 6th round, Davis believes he will go for the knockout and hand Garcia his first professional defeat. Undoubtedly, Gervonta’s assertion is in sharp contrast with Oscar De La Hoya who feels ‘KingRy’ will knock out Davis. After the bold statement by ‘Tank’, several people reacted to it and a number of them disagreed with Davis.

Michael Benson shared the statement via a tweet. As per his tweet, other than predicting the round, ‘Tank’ declared, “I’ll figure him out a little bit and then- I ain’t gonna lie, I’m gonna get to the point in this fight. We’re getting straight to the point. This fight’s showing he ain’t that person.” While some showed faith in Davis, others scolded the same for being “arrogant” and exhibiting hubris.

According to user @realJohnEssien, “Tank’s arrogance is going to cost him“. In addition, they felt that within “4 rounds“, Garcia would KO Davis.

At the L.A. press conference, Garcia spoke about taking ‘Tank’ to deep waters and drowning him. While Garcia took pride in his left hook, Davis reminded him of his technical deficiencies.
