Both fighters represent the top of the Welterweight division. ‘The Truth’ has reigned over the division for over 6 years and Crawford will be coming to snatch the reigns from the Long Island native.

The announcement of the fight has taken the boxing world by storm. Fans and boxers alike are debating on the outcome of the fight. Moreover, both fighters appear to be confident about their chances as they wait for the fight day. Crawford for one has been making some bold statements raising up the hype for the fight. He recently revealed his plans for the fight with the help of a rather amusing metaphor.

Crawford posted a video of himself announcing the fight on Instagram. He said, “The wait is over” and gave out the details for the fight. Spence recently adopted a new moniker that is ‘The Big Fish’. Making fun of his nickname in a rather amusing manner, Crawford said in the video, “Everybody come out, show support and watch me fry this fish.

Recently he did an interview with FightHype, while he was hosting a hometown sendoff. In the interview, he was asked if he is looking to make a statement in this bout. He answered, “Every fight I’m on, I’m looking to make a statement.” One person jokingly asked him, “Bud for the fish fry, what kind of hot sauce you are bringing?” Crawford jested as he replied, “I don’t eat hot sauce we’re gonna dry rub them.” Crawford appears to be confident as he prepares to head off to start his training camp.

This fight without a doubt has garnered everyone’s attention and even boxing experts have shared their predictions for the fight. Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya has given his views on this match-up. He previously stated that he picked Crawford as the winner. When asked recently by FightHubTV, he stated that his stance remains the same. He believes Spence Jr. will not be able to catch Crawford during their fight.

However, contrary to De La Hoya’s views, former world champion Adrien Broner believes that Crawford will not be able to defeat Spence Jr. He claimed that Crawford will come to a rude awakening during the fight and that he has to fight Spence for real. He said that he believes that Spence Jr. doesn’t get credit for his fighting style.
