Moreover, they even talked about how he could not believe that the fight was going to be an exhibition.

So, after the fight was announced, the reporter asked Jeff about his thoughts. He said, “One thing that they said that- in which I knew wouldn’t have happened, was that it was going to have the fight in Phillipines. I told the guys that was actually talking to me, I told them, I said I don’t think that’s gonna happen because that’s not going to be an exhibition, that’s going to be a real fight once again.

Now it’s to be noted that this was only the case if the bout was taking place through Jeff Mayweather. However, the details regarding the bout haven’t been made official yet, whether it’s going to be real or an exhibition. Things are a bit silent after Pacquiao’s announcement.

The announcement of their rematch came to light during RIZIN 45 on December 31. The world witnessed Manny Pacquiao unveiling the plans for this monumental boxing event. He stated, “Next year, I hope to see you here in Japan with a big fight against…” After this, he went silent and looked over to RIZIN’s CEO. At that point, Nobuyuki Sakakibara yelled, “Floyd Mayweather.” This wasn’t yet to be announced, but they did.
