Last week, Anthony Joshua made his presence known in Southern Oregon. He went through a whole new experience of the ‘darkness retreat.’ The day before yesterday he was at the US Grand Prix. Speaking to the media, he has suggested that the fight with Wilder could happen alongside the undisputed battle between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia. However, he might have to listen to the latest call from Deontay Wilder as well.

The names of the two former Heavyweight champions have been going around for some time. Especially over the past few weeks, talks of a potential battle have heated up to every fan’s excitement. However, per the latest updates, the fight stares at a precipice despite the camps agreeing to the terms. Deontay Wilder: “Let’s make this happen”

A short clip shared by FightHype shows the Alabamian expressing gratitude to his fans for their love and support. Addressing ‘AJ’ directly, Deontay Wilder assured his readiness for the battle. Then, making his British rival understand the significance of their match, the latter shared a desire to create a historic and memorable fight that posterity will remember. He said, “The silliest thing I’ve heard is people saying that you’re not ready, and that’s the silliest thing because I don’t believe that I believe you’re ready. I hope you’re ready. I think you’re ready. Let’s make this happen, bro. Me and you make the history happen. I look forward to seeing your response, bro. I’ll talk to you soon…

Wilder acknowledged the continued affection of fans for him and conveyed deep appreciation for it. Given his return’s anticipation, he assured them that he would return to the ring soon. Then, explaining the complexities surrounding the boxing business, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ took up the highly anticipated Anthony Joshua fight. He emphasized his efforts to make it a reality for everyone.

However, Wilder’s plea could face further complications as Joshua outlined his desire to take up one more bout before his fight with Wilder.

One more to go, please – Anthony Joshua

It remains to be seen how Anthony Joshua responds to the call. In a new twist to the plot, the former Heavyweight champion reportedly plans to take another fighter, most probably by December, before a contest with Deontay Wilder comes through. ‘AJ’ has already fought two non-title bouts this year. Perhaps these intermediary fights keep him sharp to prepare for the titanic battles ahead. The third fight with a non-title holder could be part of his bigger scheme of things.
