Speaking with Top Rank, ‘The Tartan Tornado’ said, “Obviously training here, going through a whole lot of pain and misery, and then we are over here to Sunny Vegas, spending the last four-five and a half weeks over in the State side. So, the reason for going over so early is to get used to the time difference for one but also the heat.”
He added, “We are getting used to all that as well. The time difference, the food, the heat. So by the time fight week comes, we are used to it. We are going to be flying.”

However, 17-0 as a world champion, Josh Taylor will also have to think of the in-ring challenge that Jose Ramirez can bring. Ramirez holds the WBC and WBO 140 lbs title and an unbeaten run. That said, the winner can get a crack at the 147 lbs gold.
Josh Taylor or Jose Ramirez- Who has a better chance?
The nearing main-event fight is a perfectly matched-up clash between two elite champions in their prime. Other than a 3” reach advantage, Ramirez will not have any sheer physical advantage. But he is 26-0 as a professional and 9-fights over Taylor. This might bring more experience to his corner.

Nevertheless, Taylor is a southpaw boxer, and Ramirez is orthodox. So, the fight would also be stylistically alluring. Meanwhile, both the champions are hard-hitters and can end the night in a flush. So, it would be interesting to watch one of the biggest matchups of the era happen this weekend.
