“The Wait Is Over”: Terence Crawford Announces the Long-Awaited Fight of His Career

The fight that sparked the eyes of every boxing fan just by its idea, is finally going to touch the canvas on July 29th, 2023. Terence Crawford has come out with the announcement that he would be taking on the unified Welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr, for the undisputed Welterweight championship. This fight has been dreamt of and wished for, by the fans for a long time, and now their dreams are turning into reality as the fight is all set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. Crawford even addressed his fans on social media saying, “Finally giving the fans what they want“.

Fans started to lose hope for the Crawford vs. Spence fight at one point, due to the fight not materializing after getting considered multiple times. But exactly when the whole audience turned their head away, Crawford made his entrance with a bang, grabbing everybody’s attention. The 35-year-old boxer made an announcement about the long-awaited contest with Spence Jr.

Crawford recently posted an Instagram Reel that could potentially break the internet. In the video, he tells his fans that their wait is over, and the fight they had been waiting for such a long time, is finally going to take place. Even Crawford’s sister teased this fight a few weeks ago. According to ESPN, this fight is expected to garner eight figures for the Showtime PPV.

So Crawford vs. Spence could be on its way to becoming the most anticipated fight since Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao in 2015. The contract has been signed for two fights. It contains a rematch clause that can be evoked.
