In his popular show, ‘Cold as Ba**s,’ actor-comedian Kevin Hart asked Floyd Mayweather Jr. why he held a reputation as an outstanding defensive fighter. The five-division champion replied that his father, Floyd Mayweather Sr. taught him one of the foremost rules of boxing. According to the senior, ‘the less you get hit, the longer you would be able last’ in a fight. The lesson stuck with the young boxer. As a result, he became one of boxing’s greatest ever ever. Also, the biggest money-spinner the sport ever saw.

Remain all either ran away from their opponents or just resorted to clinching. He said, “The best defensive boxing has ever been Nicolino Loche. Besides not being [a]grumpy, they ran and didn’t like to hug their rivals.“

User Santiago Diaz added his nominee. According to him, the list lacks one name Sergio Maravilla Martinez, another Argentine great who was active from 1997 to 2014 and returned to active boxing after a gap of six years. “MISSING THE Argentinian Sergio Maravilla Martinez.” He said.

Ivan Calderon Marrero fought from 2001 to 2012. The Puerto Rican was a two-division champion, winning the WBO Mini Flyweight title in 2003. After that, he defended it eleven times for the next four years. Next, he held the lineal light flyweight titles from 2007 to 2010 and defended it six times. Finally, after two consecutive losses to Giovani Segura in 2010 and 2011 and a defeat at the hands of Moises Fuentes in 2012, he hung his gloves for good.
