The unique bond between Marlon Brando and Michael Jackson started during the waning years of the 20th century. Considered one of the greatest actors of all time, Brando had worked on numerous films and featured in iconic roles that defined cinema. Perhaps the most famous one amongst several such roles is “The Godfather”. Jackson himself was an artist who reached the ranks of superstardom. In fact, he transcended the boundaries of pop stardom, transforming into a mysterious and ethereal cultural icon.
At his peak, he had amassed such a following worldwide, that it is still hard for artists to cross that boundary. Even Mike Tyson has expressed how big of a MJ fan he was. Although he did have some hard feelings towards the pop star after he refused to acknowledge the boxer’s gesture. Both Jackson and Brando had a close relationship with one another. Jackson even referred to Brando as a close and trusted friend. Recently, as MJ’s son Prince Jackson made his appearance on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, he revealed some of his insights about their relationship.

Michael Jackson’s son reveals who is his true Godfather
During one segment of the episode, Mike Tyson’s co-host DJ Whoo Kid, asked Prince, “Isn’t it bugged out that you had Macaulay Culkin and Elizabeth Taylor as Godparents?”. The boxing legend also showed his interest in his answer. However, Jackson revealed, “I believe Macaulay Culkin is my sister’s godfather, Marlon Brando was my godfather. So ‘The Godfather’ was my godfather.” To this, the boxing legend added that Brando was an “interesting guy”.
Jackson stated that it was indeed very interesting, to which Tyson asked if he got to hang around with the great actors. Prince replied that when Brando grew older, he would often visit Neverland.

Tyson pointed out, “Listen, he couldn’t go out nowhere either, they would mob him.”
Prince agreed and added that he had also spent a little bit of time with Taylor as well as she was good friends with the late pop star. Moreover, when asked about Diana Ross, Jackson appeared to hold her in high regard stating that if his grandmother had been unable to take care of them after his father’s death 14 years ago, then according to MJ’s will, Ross could have looked after them. He called her a “nice lady.”
