According to the mentioned post, the friend who does not beat around the bush and “tells you the truth” is “not the a**hole“. As per the post, telling the truth, that friend may even hurt “your feelings sometimes” too. However, that friend still cares about you. On the other hand, the friends who “sit idly by” as you “destroy yourself” are the “a**holes“.
