“This Is Actually A Good Match For Floyd”: Days After Fight Debacle, Floyd Mayweather’s Next Potential Opponent Causes A Stir Among Fans

Who is going to be Floyd Mayweather Jr.‘s next opponent? The former champion has for a while left his fans seeking answers to questions regarding his next entry into the squared circle for an exhibition bout. He is not just known for his brilliant boxing skills but also for his ability to create an element of mystique around his future plans.

In the last few months, he has on various occasions spoken vividly about possible fights in the near future. Conjecture amok, fans have awaited confirmation regarding his next high-profile fight.

Well, earlier when Mayweather was asked about his next exhibition match, the boxer had some interesting things to say. He said, “Another exhibition with a guy that’s in Canada. Who was fighting that light heavyweight, what’s his name? Used to be a champion.” Mayweather and his knack for teasing his fans, right?

However, the interviewer was not in the mood to leave his viewers in the dark. He asked the boxer if it was Jean Pascal that he was talking about. Shockingly, ‘Pretty Boy’ affirmed. He said, “Yes, so that name was brought up but I told them, the numbers weren’t right. So you got to get your numbers right. We’re just gonna move around lightly.” 

As Floyd continued to keep his fans on the edge of their seats in this guessing game, there are finally reports that hinted at his potential next bout.

Floyd Mayweather vs Jean Pascal? Bring it on!

Elie Seckbach of EsNews took to Instagram to reveal that there are indeed talks going on between Jean Pascal and Mayweather’s teams. He captioned the teasing post, “@floydmayweather vs @jeanpascalchamp are in talks about a fight. Pascal a 5 time champ competed at 175 Floyd of course was 147 and canelo fight 154”

This has immediately sent boxing enthusiasts into a frenzy over the anticipated matchup.

Rico Guess speculated the price at which ‘Money’ Mayweather would have agreed to the fight. The user commented, “They must be fighting in Toronto and Floyd getting 100 million..”

Ken Griffy has sided with Pascal for this one. He thinks Mayweather would not win this fight. The user said, “i actually believe this gone be the one floyd lose.”

D took shots at Pascal. The user mentioned that the boxer had weak cardio  even in his prime, and now that he is past it, questions should be raised. He commented, “Pascal had shit cardio even in his prime. I can imagine how terrible it is now. Floyd gonna let him waste all his energy and coast”

The former light heavyweight boxer last competed in March, where Michael Eifert defeated him via unanimous decision. Pascal holds a pro-boxing record of 36 wins, 7 losses, and one draw.

donxponce is all excited for the matchup. The user thinks it’ll be a good match. Mentioning the same, they commented, “This is actually a good match for Floyd. Pascal is no pushover , he can box , and he has power”

Jerry aka J.J.G still thinks the fight will not happen. The user commented, “Floyd came out saying this ain’t happening because the money wasn’t right and Jean was asking for too much. So he’s prob going to do one more either in Japan or with Gotti again”

As reports of this fight emerge from sources, we await official confirmations for the same.
