At the final face-off ahead of the fight between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis, boxing legend Bernard Hopkins, the current Golden Boy Promotions executive touched ‘Tank’. This behavior of Hopkins immediately angered Davis and the latter ran into an altercation with the former unified middleweight champion of the world. Following the incident, in an interview with Ariel Helwani, Davis demanded Hopkins sat back and let the “young ones do it“.

Later, Davis tweeted his anger and questioned why Hopkins came near him. In his opinion, he should have “slapped” Bernard Hopkins as soon as he touched him. Meanwhile, the trainer of Gervonta Davis, Calvin Ford publicly stated the possible reason Hopkins touched ‘Tank’ at the official weigh-in.

Taking to Instagram, in one of his stories, Ford uploaded the screenshot of a DM and accused Hopkins of trying to rub testosterone cream on ‘Tank’ ahead of the 22nd of April. The brief text that Ford uploaded read, “Coach beware of B hop and testosterone cream…I will make you test dirty. Be careful.” In a declaration, Ford said, “See this is why Bernard touch him.”

After the altercation with Hopkins, ‘Tank’ said, “He was talking about that life. Nobody’s worried about his old a**“. Despite the anger, ‘Tank’ remained calm and announced his excitement to fight on the 22nd of April. The resident of Baltimore asked the fans to focus on the fight and promised to deliver a knockout. Fans are now moments away from witnessing Ryan Garia square off against Gervonta Davis. This is the moment everyone had been waiting for.
