Outstanding talents of the day make up the 135 lbs. Lightweight division. While Devin Haney remains the undisputed champion, boxers of high calibers, such as Gervonta Davis, Vasiliy Lomachenko, Ryan Garcia, and Shakur Stevenson, keep the division full of vim and vigor. Thanks to the divisions’ upheavals, how some of the year’s most significant fights line up will keep the fans on their toes. Come April, Gervonta Davis will meet Ryan Garcia at Nevada’s T Mobile Arena. Likewise, talks about a fight between Devin Haney and Lomachenko seem to be making headway.

It would be good to remember that most of these boxers started early in their life, gaining experience and learning much as amateur boxers. Frequent face-offs lead to rivalries that barged through the bridges to the professional arena. One such example could be that of Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia. While Haney’s amateur records stand at one hundred and thirty-eight wins against eight losses, Garcia’s record before he turned pro is equally formidable at two hundred and fifteen wins against fifteen losses. Nevertheless, both share a history of netting several national championships in their kitty.

Even though much younger, Ryan Garcia throwing a lightning-quick left hook impressed @deylovemeech. However, the user believes that he would still be outmatched by Gervonta Davis in their upcoming match.

Devin Haney is renowned for his jabs that neutralize opponents flawlessly. So @Joshuaprofits took the opportunity to highlight one of Haney’s most potent weapons.

@EdgarAl75404882 added an old clip of Vasiliy Lomachenko, who moved to a corner and invited his opponent Miguel Marriaga to hit him during their 2017 fight. @EdgarAl75404882 mentioned that Lomachenko stands way above the rest of the crowd in the 135 lbs. division.

@UlyssesHenry seems aware of the Garcia-Haney amateur bout’s outcome as he claimed that ‘KingRy’ came out on top that day.

@diegomayra observed that Haney was too reckless during the fight and, as a result, received many solid blows.

Ryan Garcia’s pace fascinated @OG_Stephhhhh. As he looks forward to the Garcia- Davis match in April, @OG_Stephhhhh believes Gervonta Davis will have to adopt an aggressive strategy from the beginning. Unlike other opponents he faced in the past, Garcia, for sure, is not a pushover.

Reportedly, Garcia and Haney met six times during their amateur years. While, according to the former, the outcome splits equally between the two boxers, Haney, on the other hand, disagrees. He said, “I beat him every time. Don’t believe anything he says,” as reported by DAZN.
