Blood is thicker than water. Jermall Charlo has proved this by taking a step forward towards reconciling after years of bitterness towards his twin brother, Jermell Charlo. The duo have had a rollercoaster relationship, going back and forth. The older Charlo brother once even referred to himself as ‘Big’ Charlo, evidently making Jermell ‘Little’ Charlo. Having had a competitive nature and hated being mistaken for the other, Jermell did not take this with a light-hearted smile and went live on Instagram reacting to this. From then on, the brothers have made their feud public, openly talking about their sour relationship.

In a recent show of wholesome affection and brotherly love, Jermall stood beside his twin while he took on Canelo Álvarez on September 30. The older sibling has now extended another gesture of warmth by posting the two on his social media. Some fans were confused by the sudden display of affection, while some were relieved.

The two were not on talking terms before the bout with Canelo happened. According to Jermell, they had grown apart, and he chose to not be dragged into the trouble that his brother cooked up. The rift even extended to their respective families as their wives seemed to have bad blood between them.

Jermall had, however, taken everyone by surprise when he showed up for the biggest bout of Jermell’s career on Saturday. After appearing in a picture with Terence Crawford, Jermell’s potential opponent, and confusing the fans, the older brother has again showered affection for his brother by posting a monochrome picture of the two in the bout on his Instagram, with the caption “Love you.” Fans had a lot to say about this.

“Through thick & thin. Brothers,” commented one fan, appreciating the love between the two brothers.

“Nobody wins when the family feuds. Y’all stronger together.” Another emphasized that the two were indestructible together, and the feud helps none.

“Imagine I mean IMAGINE coming on this to hate like wow 2 brothers trying to fix they bond and oh he lost to the face of boxing …wow so much to lip off …….like the post and keep it pushing.” A fan called out the haters for being bitter about Jermell’s loss while the two brothers tried to mend their broken bond.

 One fan was skeptical of Jermall’s intentions as he questioned him on his recent picture with Crawford, “How you gon post a photo with Terence Crawford who got beef with him blud before posting about your own twin brother.”

“MUFASA & SCAR,” referring to the Disney movie, ‘The Lion King’, a fan called them Mufasa and Scar. He did not clarify who he was referring to as Mufasa or Scar. Considering that Scar had betrayed Mufasa in the movie, the fan was not very impressed with the sudden developments in their relationship and suspected Jermall’s sudden outpouring of affection.

Though most fans were happy for the two brothers, the rest stayed wary of the unexpected turn of events. The years-long family dispute might take more than just goodwill gestures from Jermall’s side. Jermell was elated when his brother showed up to support him during his fight. However, he has not been actively attempting to mend anything between them.
