Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder is one of the scariest boxers on the planet. Despite not being one of the biggest heavyweights, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ has shown his insane punching power on several occasions.
Ultimately, his power took him to the very top of the heavyweight division and led him to the WBC title. And along the way, one of the unlucky opponents on Wilder’s way to the top was his current trainer, Malik Scott.
The 42-1-1 boxer took on Scott in 2014 in what was his 31st professional bout. Wilder went into the bout as the firm favorite while Scott was entering the twilight of his career. However, with only one career defeat at the time, some expected Scott to put up a good showing.

Unfortunately for Scott, things did not go to plan. In typical Wilder fashion, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ started slowly, threw two jabs to feel out his opponent, and then with a devastating left-hook, straight right-hand combination, sent Scott to the ground. The then 33-year-old could not get up before the count, and Wilder took home the knockout victory.
