A few days back, the 26-year-old sent waves all across the combat sports universe after he spent a whopping $3.5 million on first edition Pokemon cards.

Days after his purchase, IGN reported the YouTuber turned boxer may have spent $3.5 million on fake Pokemon cards. That said, ‘The Maverick’ took it to Twitter to detail his true notions on this entire matter.
Sharing IGN’s tweet, he wrote, “update on this: I’m flying to Chicago this weekend to verify the case with BBCE, the company who insured its authenticity to be continued…”
When the Ohio native dropped the news of buying these cards, hardly anyone believed it, as it was an insane amount for first edition cards. The news of it being fake may have stunned him even further.
Did Logan Paul really buy ‘fake’ Pokemon cards?
‘The Maverick’ is always open about his interests and likings about various artworks, cartoon characters, and more. As Logan Paul shares a different love for Pokemon altogether, he ended up gifting himself the first edition of those cards.

Considering that he is a genuine fan, Paul didn’t think twice about his purchase. However, there’s no way he would have made the purchase had there not been some way to verify its authenticity.
