Days ahead of the fight at the Diriyah Arena on February 26th, Jake Paul proposed the “double or nothing” bet to Tommy Fury. Had Fury signed the contract then for “double or nothing” he should have by now walked away with double his prize money after defeating ‘The Problem Child’ in the ring. Although the British boxer beat Jake Paul on February 26th, he reportedly did not sign the contract for “double or nothing” prior to stepping inside the ring. Despite Fury never officially signing “double or nothing”, his father John Fury pursued Jake Paul via a tweet by saying, “You owe us some money”.

Following John Fury, Tommy Fury now also has changed tune on the “double or nothing” deal and feels entitled to receive double his prize money. In his latest interview with Good Morning Britain, Fury argued that only a handshake on TV was equivalent to signing a contract for “double or nothing”.
Tommy Fury urges Jake Paul to honor his deal albeit he never signed it
Other than John and Tommy Fury, WBC heavyweight champ Tyson Fury has also pursued Jake Paul regarding the “double or nothing” bet after Paul lost on February 26th. Anyway, in his recent interaction with Good Morning Britain, the younger Fury brother branded himself and his family as “old-fashioned people” and declared that a handshake in every way signified his interest in the “double or nothing” deal.

Despite never signing a physical contract for the bet, Tommy Fury wants to see whether or not Jake Paul honors the deal. “At the end of the day, we were live on TV and we shook hands. We’re old-fashioned guys, so a handshake means everything to us, but let’s see if he honors it or not. A handshake is as good as a contract to us,“ said Tommy Fury.
Fury’s statements followed his father’s tweet. In the mentioned tweet, so as to disregard the contract, John Fury claimed that being a “Gypsy” he could neither write nor read “properly”. “We had a deal in front of millions of people worldwide, I expect you to honor that deal. You owe us some money,” he added by saying.
