The idea of Jake Paul challenging Mike Tyson hasn’t sat down well with most fans. Many have yet to make peace with it, and it seems Tommy Fury is among them. However, not only is the British boxer willing to express his frustration with the lopsided matchup, but he is also keen to take action. So, he has left a grim message for his archrival.

‘TNT’ and ‘The Problem Child’ stood across each other in the squared circle last February with much fanfare. Fury defeated Jake Paul in a close fight. Since then, there have been rumors of a rematch. But the American influencer recently bagged a contract with ‘Iron Mike,’ whom Fury dubbed granddad. What else did he say?

The 24-year-old boxer spoke his mind in a conversation with IFL TV. When asked about Tyson vs. Paul, he specified that Paul’s inability to beat him resulted in the current mismatch. The Brit also demanded respect for the former heavyweight champion and expressed his desire to knock out Paul if Tyson failed to do so.

“Well, he couldn’t beat me. So he’s going to fight grandads now, which is terrible, you know. What you was, isn’t what you are now. Mike Tyson is an absolute legend, deserved the utmost respect. Listen, it is what it is. If Mike don’t knock him out, I will next time,” Fury said.

The Manchester native previously also disclosed similar views when he denied giving a prediction on Tyson vs. Paul to Jamal Niaz. He had called the match “disgraceful,” citing the 30-year age gap between Tyson and Paul. Amusingly, there had been rumors of Fury clashing with Roy Jones Jr. when the two met in Saudi Arabia.

However, Jones Jr. himself believes the 10-o record holder would rather push for a rematch with Paul, whom he had already handed a defeat. But Paul is not the only name on his list. Fury is currently gearing up for a comeback and has a long list of suitors.

Tommy Fury is not short of challengers

Muhsin Cason, brother of Hasim Rahman, has thrown down the gauntlet at Fury and is hopeful of a bout soon. “I think it would be good for television, it would be good for social, and it would be good for boxing,” Cason hinted. Meanwhile, the Love Island fame boxer has thrown Conor McGregor‘s name in the mix too.

“I mean, why not, me and [Conor] McGregor next? How’s that? I’ve got a comeback fight, and I’d like him to for me return. So, McGregor, get in touch,” Tommy Fury announced. It remains to be seen when he makes his return to the boxing ring and against whom.
