On 18th December 2021 at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, Jake Paul met Tyron Woodley for the second time. The fight labeled Leave No Doubt took place by happenstance. English boxer and step-brother to Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury initially lined up to face Jake Paul. But reportedly, a broken rib and chest infection prevented his attendance.

The Paul-Fury acrimony switched on from the day the duo met backstage during the latter’s first match against Woodley on 29th August 2021. Then, Tommy Fury fought Jake’s training partner Anthony ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor, on the undercard. Subsequently, talks between the two camps followed. Per reports, Tommy Fury had rejected the American’s third offer, which stood at $1 million. So, towards the end of 2022, Jake Paul initiated a new deal. But, the startling response from ‘TNT’ has left many ponderous. The ghosts of 2021 retraced their steps.

Jake Paul has fought chiefly mixed martial artists so far. Hence he faces a constant question mark over a fight against a purebred boxer. So in an attempt to put all questions to rest, he probably took the latest step in reigniting a match with Tommy Fury. Taking to social media, he called out the Englishman.

When the American authorities denied Tommy Fury entry to the US, the second attempt at the Paul-Fury fight collapsed. Since then, both sides have hinted at a third attempt. Reportedly, serious work is on to make it a reality this time. John, Tommy’s father, revealed reaching a verbal deal with Nakisa Bidarian, Jake’s manager. Because of Fury’s visiting issues, the fight will likely take place in the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Jake Paul sent feelers to MMA fighters Paddy Pimblett and Mike Perry, purportedly due absence of a concrete confirmation from the Fury camp.

Taking to social media, Tyson Fury has come down full force, lambasting the American. He said, “Once again, I am seeing Jake Paul’s sh*t all over the internet. You offered Paddy Pimblett a million pounds to spar, you offered Tyson [Fury] a million-pound bet about some bollocks, but you don’t want to pay me much more to have a fight.”

Moving the roulette to Paul’s end, Tommy said that with everything said and done, he is willing to fight the former “for free.”

Detractors who have for long been calling out the Briton on avoiding the confrontation against Paul had a field day with his message. Glasgow Commonwealth gold medalist Anthony Fowler’s message reminded a statement ‘TNT’ made in the recent past.

During the second half of 2021, Tommy Fury rejected three offers from Jake Paul’s team, stating, “To everybody out there a million pounds for a fight of this magnitude is… it’s not even worth getting out of bed for. This fight is gonna gross millions and millions of pounds,” as reported by DailyStar.

He said that till ‘The Problem Child’ came up with a ‘serious offer,’ he wouldn’t accept any deal for a fight.
