Top Rank’s recent thriller was full of insanity as Jose Zepeda and Ivan Baranchyk went on a war against each other for the vacant WBC silver super-lightweight title.
Although Zepeda has notched the belt with an impressive fifth-round knockout win, he was pushed to the edge several times in the fight. Yet the ‘Chon’ came back and kept landing heavy shots. All he needed was one perfect punch, and Zepeda brutally pulled it off by knocking out Baranchyk in the fifth round.
While the American boxer gave it all inside the ring, it can also be labeled as a lucky shot since both boxers got clipped by each other. Yet Zepeda’s winning punch was too much to handle for Baranchyk.

Similarly, Mike Coppinger was also allured by the matchup. Talking about eight knockdowns in five rounds, he proposed the idea of Zepeda getting a crack at the winner of Taylor vs Ramirez.
That was incredible stuff in the bubble. Eight knockdowns in five rounds. Both men in the canvas multiple times. Zepeda knocked down moments before scoring the brutal KO. Zepeda needs a crack at the winner of Taylor-Ramírez. Had him beating Ramírez. Brilliant performance

Scary one punch end to a sensational, back and forth, knockdown filled fight-of-the-year kind of brawl. Congratulations to Jose Zepeda. Hope Ivan Baranchyk is ok.
