Top Rank’s recent thriller was full of insanity as Jose Zepeda and Ivan Baranchyk went on a war against each other for the vacant WBC silver super-lightweight title.

Although Zepeda has notched the belt with an impressive fifth-round knockout win, he was pushed to the edge several times in the fight. Yet the ‘Chon’ came back and kept landing heavy shots. All he needed was one perfect punch, and Zepeda brutally pulled it off by knocking out Baranchyk in the fifth round.

While the American boxer gave it all inside the ring, it can also be labeled as a lucky shot since both boxers got clipped by each other. Yet Zepeda’s winning punch was too much to handle for Baranchyk.

The knockout punch was heard all over the world. However, both boxers showcased their best form in the night. That said, Baranchyk was fortunate enough to rock his rival several times. The contest became violent in round four. None of the contenders hesitated to land their best. However, Zepeda was lucky to land the bigger one.

It is no surprise that Top Rank CEO Bob Arum was highly impressed with the fight. He called it one of the best fights since George Foreman vs Ron Lyle.
